For the 'Design for Storytelling' module I made a latex mask that looked like it had been skinned off of a persons face.
I sculpted first, with water based clay and then made a plaster mold. I then poured the latex into the mold, filled it to the top and left it overnight.
In the morning I poured the excess latex out and I was left with a thick layer of latex but thin enough that it was still pliable.
I then painted the mask to look aged, bloody and dirty.
