For the module 'Design for Storytelling' I also made a mystical book for the Sandman.
I bought a book and leather leggings from a charity shop, I covered the book in the leggings and cut out some pages to make the book lighter for the model.
I used blue foam to add a spine to the book which I also covered it the leather. I got a pre-made plexiglass eye and printed some eye designs that I drew in procreate which I then stuck onto the book.
I folded the excess leather to created the wrinkles/lids of the eye. I used plasticine to blend out the edges and add more details.to the eye and spine of the book.
I covered the plasticine in wood glue before painting it black. I then added some purple. gold, and white to add highlights and details.
I cut out and stuck on some styrene half-moons to the book for more detail that I sprayed gold and added brown for detailing.
